Finding Common Ground survey

This survey is an opportunity to shape what a declaration of disabled people's rights should include.

Open from: Saturday 16 May to Thursday 18 June 2026.

What should the declaration of disabled people's rights include?

Your voice is important!

With your support, we are building a shared Declaration of Disabled Peoples Rights in Aotearoa New Zealand!

We have put together a short survey for everyone to help shape what the declaration should include.

This is an idea generation survey. This means we are looking for ideas that may not be highlighted in other places to inform a draft declaration.

With your support, we are building a shared Declaration of Disabled Peoples Rights in Aotearoa New Zealand!

Any draft declaration will be shared widely for feedback before finalising.

We would love you to share this survey with your networks.

About the survey

The survey asks questions about:

  • who you are
  • what is important to disabled people and their families, whānau and carers
  • actions that benefit the community.

You can skip any of the questions.

You can return to any question before you finish your response by using the ‘back’ button.

Even if you don’t finish the survey, your answers will be recorded.

Find out about more about the information we will collect.
